So, hikers start trekking from Agoda and reach Darwa Pass by passing Manjhi and Dodital.

This Kagbhusandi trek seeks its connection with the Crow named Kagbhusandi in the Ramayan Epic. They say that the peak of Hathi Parvat, which is in front of this lake, resembles the Crow. 

In Hinduism, the Kagbhusandi is believed to be a crow in the period of Lord Ram in Treta Yuga. Hence, this lake is considered a spiritual lake. To reach this lake, the trek starts from Bhyundar Village, and its length is about 28 to 30 Km one way. Therefore, you need 7 days to complete this majestic lake trek.

This Sapt Rishi Kund at 4421 m. altitude, which is actually a glacial lake and known as the origin of the Yamunotri River is the ultimate destination of this trek. In Hinduism, the Yamunotri River is sacred and believed as the Sister of Yamraj and daughter of Surya Dev. In this way, the origin of this holy river is a spiritual place. Along with this, the legends tell that the Seven Sages did penance and meditation in this place, and so it is called Sapt Rishi Kund. Here, Sapt means seven, and Kund refers to the Lake.
