Cancellation Policy & Refund

We understand the excitement of going on a trek and discovering new locations, but sometimes unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need to cancel your trek. To ensure a hassle free experience, we’ve crafted a trekker friendly cancellation and refund policy outlined below. Please review this carefully before booking your trek.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Customers who have paid either the initial 30% deposit or the full 100% deposit will only be eligible for vouchers that can be redeemed for future treks or services offered by Himalayan Dream Treks. The ‘paid amount‘ mentioned on this page refers to the sum you have paid to Himalayan Dream Treks, and any refund will be applicable based on that amount.

India Treks:

Cancellation Over 30 Days Before Departure Date: 90% refund of the paid amount as a trek voucher with a validity of 1 year.
Cancellation Between 21-30 Days Before Departure Date: 75% refund of the paid amount as a trek voucher with a validity of 1 year.
Cancellation Between 11-20 Days Before Departure Date: 50% refund of the paid amount as a trek voucher with a validity of 1 year.
Cancellation Less Than 10 Days Before Departure Date: Unfortunately, no voucher will be provided.
No-show: In the event of a no-show, no refund will be applicable.

Nepal Treks:

Cancellation Over 40 Days Before Departure Date: 80% refund of the paid amount as a trek voucher with a validity of 1 year.
Cancellation Between 40-30 Days Before Departure Date: No voucher applicable, only rescheduling option available.
Cancellation Less Than 30 Days Before Departure Date: No refund or voucher.

Customised Treks:

Cancellation Over 30 Days Before Departure Date: 80% refund of the paid amount as a trek voucher with a validity of 1 year.
Cancellation Between 21-30 Days Before Departure Date: 75% refund of the paid amount as a trek voucher with a validity of 1 year.
Cancellation Between 11-20 Days Before Departure Date: No refund or voucher.
Cancellation Less Than 10 Days Before Departure Date: Unfortunately, no refund will be provided.

Rescheduling:

Free rescheduling is allowed up to 30 days before the trek’s start date.
A 10% rescheduling charge of the paid amount will apply if rescheduling is requested 29-7 days or less before the trek’s start date.
No rescheduling within 7 days of the trek and no voucher will be provided for the same. Your booking will be canceled and the slot will be given to another trekker.

Cancellation by Himalayan Dream Treks: In the rare event of a trek cancellation due to natural calamities, government policies, or adverse weather conditions, we will issue a voucher for the full amount, valid for 1 year. This voucher can be used for the same trek or any other trek offered by us.

Dropout During Trek: If a trekker decides to drop out of an ongoing trek for any reason(due to natural calamity, health reasons, or political unrest) no refund will be provided. The trekker will be responsible for any expenses incurred in planning and executing the retreat from the trek.

Cancellation of Trek and Refund Process: To cancel your trek, please email [email protected] with your mobile number and full name used for payment. Provide the reason for cancellation, and your voucher will be generated within 24 hours.
