The best time to visit Landour is from February to April and then October to late November. In these months, the temperature in Landour remains neither extremely high nor extremely low.   3. Once you land there, then book a taxi for the further journey up to Landour. Through Taxi, it will take about 2 hours to reach your final destination. 

By Train: 

  1. Landour is situated at a distance of 37 Km from Dehradun Railway Station. 
  2. So if you want to come to Landour by train, then you should book the train tickets from your hometown to Dehradun. 
  3. From the exit of Dehradun Railway Station, you can easily get a taxi to your destination, Landour. And it will take about 1 hour 40 minutes to cover this road journey. 

By Road: 

  • The distance between Delhi to Landour is about 300 Km. So if you come all the way by Road then it will take about 7 hours of drive. 
  • From Dehradun onwards, you can either pick up the bus, rental bike, or a shared taxi to reach Mussoorie.
  • The distance between the Mussoorie Library Bus stand and Landour is only 6.1 Km, so you can either choose a Taxi or rent a Motorcycle to reach the final stop, Landour. And if you are physically fit then you can even reach Landour by walking in 1 to 2 hours. 

Dehradun to Mussoorie Bus Details: 

From the Dehradun Hill Station Bus stand, the multiple U.T.C Buses run to the Mussoorie Picture Palace Bus Stand and Mussoorie Library Bus Stand daily. These Buses are ordinary category Buses of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (U.T.C.) and offer the most affordable way to travel between Dehradun and Mussoorie. Generally, the ticket cost for this journey will lie between INR 80 to 100. All of these Buses go via Jakhan DDN, Rajpur, Kuthal Gate, Mekanji Road and other intermediate stops. Laal Tibba Scenic Point is located on the Depot hill in Landour.
