This year doors of Yamunotri temple opened up on May 10 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. With the temple’s opening, many pilgrims also paid their visit on the first day.

The sudden rise in pilgrims has made the situation risky. Uttarakhand policy also urged the authorities not to send any more pilgrims on the route since managing all the traffic is hard.

The effects of the traffic can also be seen on the resources. Every parking lot and hotel are running at maximum capacity and no more tourists can be taken in.

Govt has also suspended the Yamunotri Dhaam registration on the Chardhaam portal. This is the reason why people are not able to get their registration on the portal. Every slot is in red status now. Within a few days, the situation will be back to normal.
