Safety is the first priority at Himalayan Dream Treks. We deeply understand the mountainous regions and their effects on people who step into them for the first time to experience the charm of the Himalayas. The challenges of the Himalayas are not the same for all trekkers. We always make sure that any registered trekker is eligible and has the bare minimum physical fitness required for the trek they have registered for. After that, precautions, techniques, and equipment play a vital role according to the trek’s difficulty. The riskier or harder the trek, the more precisely the equipment is used.
For example, easy treks like Nag Tibba just require basic hiking skills, a basic level of physical fitness, proper packing of clothing, a first aid kit, and good trail navigation. On the other hand, extremely difficult treks like Satopanth Peak climbing require the full use of safety equipment such as medical kits, helmets, oxygen cylinders, stretchers, satellite phones, and all the necessary technical climbing equipment.
Yes, we collaborate with smaller trekking companies and independent guides. Working with locals is an important part of our vision. We promote tourism to strengthen the economy in rural areas, which not only helps local communities but also empowers us with sufficient manpower and provides wider opportunities for effective on-ground operations.
