I joined the Panch Kedar Yatra and from the moment the group was picked up everything was planned, organised and every detail taken care of, the whole trip was seamless - all I had to do was walk and enjoy the experience.Good accommodation, great food cooked over a fire and super comfy vehicle for transportation – Sandeep is a great driver, felt completely safe. And guide and driver were very professional, respectful and polite.The scenery and temples on the Yatra are beautiful and it is a beautiful part of the world to visit, Yatra or Trekking.I joined a group I had not walked with before and we had quite mixed abilities and lots of different asks and our wonderful guide Hitik went above and beyond to keep everyone happy and really looked after us, I was blown away by Hitik’s care and kindness, not only helping our group but others on the yatra and looking out for me when I was taken ill for a time. He was so light-hearted and fun it made the walking easy and like having a best friend to walk with. Thank you Hitik, I hope to walk with you again soon, I’m sorry we were so high maintenance!I will be recommending HDT to all my friends and am already looking at their other treks and making plans and won’t hesitate to book with them again.THANK YOUPosted onVerified A Unforgettable Experience with HMT A small group of 4 of us did Panch Kedar with Himalayan Dream Treks and what an amazing experience it was. Our guide, Hitik, was great. His enthusiasm for trekking and love of the mountains and the people up there was infectious. This young man handled everything 4 much older and somewhat overwhelmed Westerners threw at him with a smile on his face.I organised this trek from New Zealand and found the Himalayan Dream Trek team incredibly easy to deal with. They answered all my questions and let me know what was needed from my end in good time. There fee is very reasonable for what they offer and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering Panch Kedar or any other treks in the Indian Himalaya. The Panch Kedar trek itself is tough and quite relentless, but extremely rewarding. Be prepared to trek every day, at altitude. There are no easy days until you get to Kalpeshwar, the last of the 5 temples. The trek to each temple has it's own challenges and it's own beauty. Make sure that you have a reasonable level of fitness and good boots for what are some pretty technical treks. A good comfortable day pack is essential. You don't need a big pack as you are only ever away from your transport for 2 nights at a time, so that's all you need to carry, but you do need a good small pack. To have darshan at the 5 temples of Panch Kedar is a wonderful blessing, and to experience the natural beauty of these remote and sacred spots is unforgettable. His patience and commitment stood out throughout the journey. We were a small group of only women, Veeru and the team went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort at every step. Our Saarthi, Neeraj Negi, knows every nook and corner of Uttarakhand and shared fascinating local stories and additional insights about the Kedars. Safety – 5/5 Communication – 5/5 A quick Heads up to people looking forward to Panch Kedar - Completing all five Kedars in one go is not easy. The first four Kedars alone involve trekking 120+ km over 8–9 days. If you plan to trek the entire route, it is important to start fitness training at least 3 -4 months in advance to truly enjoy the experience. While assistance is available to reach the top, being physically prepared makes a huge difference. Also, I would say Sep-Oct is the best time to go to Panch Kedar - Clear views, less traffic, less crowd and awesome weather. Panch Kedar has been close to my heart for a long time, and HDT made this dream possible. We planned for Adi Kailash Yatra , and i chose Himalayan Dream trek to host our Yatra from Delhi - Delhi , this was the best decision i made choosing Himalayan dream trek ! The journey was suppose to be easy and was as per our plan ! But due to rains and cloud Burst !! Our Yatra to Adi Kailash seems to be impossible and we had almost lost hopes that our Yatra would be completed !! But here was the magic from Ishwar of HDT. Who ensured our Yatra will be completed by him being on our side , and he managed to pull of a card from sleeve and was able to get the permits and within short time!! Just not Adi Kailash he ensured we don’t waste our days so he took us to pancha Chuli in darma valley !! Which was not a part of our itinerary !! And this place is A wow !!
