The term ‘Himalayan Dreamtreks’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is “10 B, Mothorowala Rd, Dharampur, Ajabpur Kalan, Dehradun, India, Uttarakhand, 248001”. The term ‘you’ refers to the user, trekker, or viewer of our website.
By booking a trek with Himalayan Dreamtreks, you agree to accept the terms and conditions outlined below.
1) Itinerary Schedule: The Himalayan Dreamtreks team reserves the right to make adjustments to the itinerary and schedule to ensure an optimal and enriching experience. Changes may occur due to unexpected circumstances or to prioritize your safety and satisfaction throughout the journey.
In the event that a trekker wishes to depart before the scheduled dates, they will be responsible for covering expenses related to food, accommodation, and transportation on their own. This policy ensures flexibility while maintaining the overall quality and safety standards of the trekking experience.
2) Cancellation and Refund: Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refund policies are contingent on the notice period before the trip, with specific non-refundable fees applicable. For more details read this page.
3) Insurance Requirement: Himalayan Dreamtreks does not offer travel insurance or impose charges for it. It is the responsibility of the trekker to obtain travel insurance from reputable providers such as ASC360, ICICI Lombard, Bajaj Allianz, TATA AIG, and others. Ensuring comprehensive coverage is essential for your well-being and peace of mind during the trek.
4) Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to adhere to a respectful and responsible code of conduct during the trek. The areas you visit may have distinct rules, laws, and beliefs. It is imperative to show respect towards the local religion, customs, and traditions.
Any disruptive behavior or violation of local laws may result in expulsion without a refund. We emphasize the importance of cultural sensitivity and responsible behavior to ensure a harmonious and enriching experience for all participants and the communities we engage with.
5) No Liquor Policy: Please note that Himalayan Dream Treks strictly adheres to a no-liquor policy during treks and expeditions. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited throughout the duration of the trekking activities. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and to maintain the integrity of the trekking experience. We appreciate your cooperation in upholding this policy.
6) Force Majeure: Himalayan Dreamtreks bears no responsibility for disruptions caused by unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other force majeure events.
7) Complaints and Grievances: Any complaints should be reported promptly to the Trek leader or company representative. Immediate communication with us via email (info@himalayandreamtreks.in) or phone (+91 80896 93825) is encouraged for swift issue resolution.
8) Photographs and Media: Himalayan Dreamtreks reserves the right to use participant photographs and media for promotional purposes. Objections must be communicated in writing before the trip.
9) Travel Documents: Participants must ensure all required documents like Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, and Passport are submitted in a timely manner. These documents are required to make Forest and Camping permits. Failure to comply may result in denied entry.
10) Transportation: Transportation during the trek is arranged as per the outlined itinerary. A Bolero or hatchback will be utilized for groups of 4 trekkers, while groups of 5-7 will be accommodated in vehicles such as Bolero or Tata Sumo. For larger groups exceeding 8 people, a Force Traveller will be employed.
If a group prefers to use a different vehicle instead of our hired transport, they have the option to arrange their own transportation at their own expense.
Please note that changes to transportation schedules may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, which are beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in such situations as we strive to provide a seamless and safe trekking experience.
11) Environmental Policy: Participants are expected to follow Leave No Trace principles, emphasizing respect for local flora and fauna to promote sustainable trekking. During trekking, it’s important to observe small practices that contribute to sustainability. Always carry a steel or copper water bottle to avoid purchasing plastic bottles during the journey. Additionally, bring a tiffin box as we provide packed lunches on some treks. You’ll also receive an eco bag during the trek; use it to collect any plastic waste or wrappers, and please return it to the basecamp at the end of the trek. Your cooperation in maintaining cleanliness and reducing plastic usage is greatly appreciated.
12) Local Regulation and Customs: Adherence to local laws, regulations, and customs is mandatory. Awareness and respect for local customs enhance the overall trekking experience.
13) Changes to Itinerary: Himalayan Dreamtreks reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. Alternative arrangements will be made whenever possible.
14) Feedback and Reviews: Participant feedback is valued and welcomed. Reviews may be used for promotional purposes.
15) Special Requests: Any special requests must be communicated in writing during the booking process, and efforts will be made to accommodate reasonable requests.
16) Lost and Damage of Property: Himalayan Dreamtreks is not responsible for lost or damaged personal property. Participants are advised to secure their belongings.
17) Fitness Responsibility: Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit for the trek. Medical conditions should be disclosed prior to the trip.
18) Unused Services and Items during Trek: No refunds or compensations will be provided for unused services or items, including accommodation, meals, transportation, or any other service.
19) Payment Terms: Payments can be made via our payment partners, Razorpay and PhonePe. Flexible payment terms include either the full trek package payment or a 30% initial payment, with the remaining 70% due seven days before the departure date. All trek packages are subject to a 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST), which trekkers are required to pay at the time of booking.
20) Offers and Discounts: Himalayan Dreamtreks periodically offers various discounts on trek packages. These discounts do not apply to rental, transportation, and offloading services and cannot be applied once a trek package is purchased.
By booking a trek with Himalayan Dreamtreks, participants agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Any inquiries or concerns should be addressed before booking. Himalayan Dreamtreks reserves the right to modify these terms as needed.
21) Medical Certificate and Self-Declaration: Prior to starting on the high altitude trek, all participants are required to submit a medical certificate signed by a qualified healthcare professional, stating their fitness level for undertaking strenuous physical activities at high altitudes. Additionally, participants must complete a self-declaration form confirming their understanding of the risks involved in trekking and their agreement to adhere to safety guidelines and instructions provided by the trekking team. Failure to provide the necessary medical certificate or self-declaration may result in the participant being unable to join the trek.
