Adi Kailash, the second of Panch Kailash, is located near the Tibet and Nepal border. Due to this, an Inner Line Permit is required to travel to this region. The permit process is carried out in Dharchula at the SDM office. Currently, there’s no way to apply for Adi Kailash Permit online. Below are the steps on how to get the Adi Kailash Permit.

Adi Kailash

What documents are required for Adi Kailash Permit?

  • Govt ID proof like an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc
  • 2-3 passport size photos
  • Medical certificate
  • Police Verification Form

Step 1: Write an Application to SDM Dharchula

Draft an application to SDM Dharchula stating your interest in visiting Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. Make sure to mention travel dates, the number of travelers, ages, and other relevant details in the application. Attach the government IDs of all the participants and passport-size photos of everyone.

Step 2: Visit Local Police Station for Verification

Visit the local police station, provide them with your government ID, and they will verify your identity. Keep a photocopy of your application in case the police personnel ask for it. Once they have done their due diligence, they will give you a certificate.

Note: You can also have police verification done in your hometown. Make sure your certificate is not older than 15 days on the day of submitting your Adi Kailash Permit.

Step 3: Acquire Medical Certificate

A medical certificate is required to apply for the permit. Get the medical certificate from Dharchula Government Hospital or you can also have it done in your hometown.

Step 4: Submit Your Application to SDM Dharchula

Once everything is done, submit your application along with your medical certificate and verification certificate. Officials will check all the details, and verify them, and your permit will be generated.
